Obtain Adult Entertainment License

Any person desiring to work or perform in an adult entertainment establishment in a capacity pertaining to operation, entertainment or public performances at the establishment, including, but not limited to, bartenders, waiters, waitresses and security personnel, irrespective of whether such person is paid a salary or wage or whether such person performs as a contractor for an adult entertainment establishment, shall file with the police department a sworn permit application.


When applying for a license, each applicant must bring with them valid government issued identification, a complete FDLE Criminal History background check, the complete 2-page application, and $50 cash for the application fee.  If the applicant is not a US citizen, they are required to bring proof that they are permitted to work in the United States.


A complete Criminal History background check can be obtained online at www.fdle.state.fl.us, see “Request a Criminal History” or it can be requested by completing the attached form and submitting it directly to FDLE via US Mail.  The fee for the Criminal History background is $24 paid directly to FDLE.  Please note, FMPD will not be completing any criminal background checks.  License applications will only be accepted with the mandatory criminal history application and the $50 application fee. 
 
 Applications are only accepted by appointment on Tuesday's from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
