FMPD Teams with FDLE for Kids Safety Day


(Fort Myers, FL) The Fort Myers Police Department is joining with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and other agencies to present “Kids Safety Day” on Saturday, February 10, 2018. The event will last from 10a.m. to 1p.m. in the Page Field Terminal parking lot in Front of the FDLE headquarters. The safety day event will concentrate on teaching children a wide variety safety rules and lessons with demonstrations and giveaways from partner organizations such as Golisano Children’s Hospital, the Drug Free Coalition, Lee County Emergency Medical Services, The Fort Myers Fire Department, Lee County Sherriff’s Office and others. Fire trucks, ambulances and police cars will be on display and there will be interactive safety games for children of all ages.
Admission and parking are free, no coolers please. The FDLE Operations Center is located at 4700 Terminal Drive next to Page Field in Fort Myers.   For more information call (239) 335-7507.
