Fort Myers Police Make Second Arrest In Connection With Deadly Crash

At approximately 5:03 p.m. on Monday, March 12, 2018, Investigators with the Fort Myers Police Department arrested James Daniel Sinclair (DOB 04/17/1967, of Fort Myers), and charged him with one count of tampering with evidence, one count of perjury in an unofficial proceeding and one count of obstructing a law enforcement officer without violence.  Lead investigator Sergeant Lesa Breneman secured a capias for Mr. Sinclair’s arrest earlier this morning.  Mr. Sinclair’s arrest stems from his interference with the investigation into Adam Costello for leaving the scene of a traffic crash involving death.  The incident occurred on June 19, 2016.  Sinclair turned himself into Fort Myers Police at police headquarters.

The Fort Myers Police Department worked cooperatively with our partners at The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), The State Attorney’s Office and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office to bring Mr. Sinclair to justice.
