Adult Charged with Molesting Victim Under 12 Years of Age

Jackie Johnson

Fort Myers Police have made an arrest stemming from a report filed on April 14th, 2018 at approximately 5:45 p.m. by a woman who claimed her daughter had been molested by the complainant’s brother. The mother reported that, on more than one occasion, her daughter reported a sexual assault by her “Uncle Jackie” while on a sleepover at a relative’s home. During interviews the minor female detailed to investigators that her uncle would come into the room where she was attempting to sleep and proceed to touch her inappropriately. Due to the allegations and descriptions of the incident detectives obtained a search warrant for the crime scene and collected evidence pertaining to the case. Based on the investigation it was established that probable cause existed for the arrest of Jackie Johnson, Jr. (Date of Birth 02/13/77) for Sexual Battery to a Child under the age of 12 along with Lewd and Lascivious Molestation of a child. Johnson was transported to the Fort Myers Police Department for an interview where he refused to make a statement and was later transported to the Lee County Jail. The child’s name is being withheld due to her age and the nature of the crime.
