32nd Annual RESPECT FOR LAW CAMP REGISTRATION NOW OPEN

We are currently accepting applications for the 32nd Annual 2023 Respect for Law Camp. This 4 day 3 night camp is held at Dunbar Middle School. Food and T-Shirts are provided. This is an excellent hands on learning opportunity and we hope to see you there!








  1. Community Involvement Coalition

    Community Involvement Coalition is a group of concerned citizens and business owners gathering monthly to discuss neighborhood problems, perceived problems and how to solve the issue(s).











  2. Coffee with a Cop

    Bringing police officers and the community together-over coffee to discuss issues and get to know each other.









  3. Neighbors & Nachos

    A partnership between Fort Myers Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit and Moe’s Southwestern Grill to reach millennial and generation Z by offering simple comfort food and conversation with “neighborhood police officers” and the Crime Prevention Practitioner.









  4. COP’s & Clergy

    An Outreach Partnership with the Faith-Based Community.  Regular breakfast meetings to collaborate in solving community problems or perceived community issues.









  5. Barbershop Conversations

    Groups of community members and business leaders gather at local barber shops and beauty shops on a regular basis.  Police Department personnel participate on a regular basis.









  6. Picnic with Police

    An opportunity for our citizens to engage in conversations, fellowship and fun with law enforcement. District based event where citizens and law enforcement enjoy lunch, games, and conversation.









  7. Celebrate Safe Communities (CSC)

    Local people working with local law enforcement to address local issues. CSC spotlights communities’ crime prevention efforts, enhances public awareness of vital crime prevention and safety messages, and recruits year-round support for ongoing prevention activities that help people keep neighborhoods safe from crime and prepared for any emergency.
