Drug Investigation Leads to Arrest

On Friday, December 17, 2021, during the early morning hours, the Fort Myers Police Department Vice/ Narcotics Unit (VNU) assisted by the SWAT Team, and other officers served a Narcotics Search Warrant at 824 Alderman Street, Unit #113 in Fort Myers, Florida.  

 

The search warrant was the culmination of a two-month long undercover operation in which Detectives with the Vice/ Narcotics Unit made several purchases of crack cocaine from Joe Anthony Ferguson, A/K/A “Chico” 

 

Ferguson was located at his home address (824 Alderman Street, unit 113) and was taken into custody today.  

 

Upon searching the apartment, Vice/ Narcotics Unit Detectives discovered the following items:

  • Crack and powder cocaine 
  • Crystal methamphetamine
  • MDMA (ecstasy) pills
  • Fentanyl 
  • Stoeger 9mm handgun (reported stolen out of LCSO)
  • Drug paraphernalia to include digital scales, baggies, and a cylinder press
  • $919.00 in cash.   

 

Joe Ferguson was arrested and charged with the following: 

 

Sale of Cocaine X3

Possession of Cocaine X 3 

 

Possession of Cocaine w/ Intent to Sell

Possession of MDMA

Possession of Methamphetamine w/ Intent to Sell

Possession of a Synthetic Narcotic w/ Intent to Sell (Fentanyl) 

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
